Canvases and Deco Posters

The only difference between posters and canvases is the material onto which the photo is printed and the dimensions of the finished product.

"Posters on Photo Paper" are the only products that cannot be customised, since these are just large prints of individual digital photos printed on photographic paper. All other posters and canvases can be personalised to your own requirements or used with the page layout and design templates.

In the case of canvases, an edge of approx. 3cm is folded down and stretched on a wooden frame. This folded edge then forms the visible side of the stretched canvas. Please take this into account when personalising your canvas.

Note:

In the case of canvases, part of the photo is wrapped around the wooden frame so it can be fixed in place, and is no longer visible from directly in front.
You will be able to tell the original size of the picture seen from the front by the layout frame of the background picture.

When selecting or photographing your background picture, please make sure there are no important details on the edge of the picture that will be lost when this edge is formed.

On the home page, select "Canvas" or "Collage Poster" (with or without frame) or a different poster product.
Select the required size for your canvas or poster.
The Product Editor will then open.

Product Features

Here you can review whether you want a canvas, collage poster or one of the other poster products, as well as the size of the finished product.

Caution:
This can result in significant changes to the size and trim of the background photo. Check whether you might lose details at the edge of the picture.
Images that are close to the edge can also be cut off following format or product changes.

The Selection area for Canvases / Customisable Posters

In the bottom left-hand corner of the program, please choose the details you would like to add.

Then choose the photo you would like to add as the background for your canvas or collage poster.
There is a range of "page layout" and "design" templates to choose from, as well as "frames" for certain photo products.
This frame is not printed, it is a real wooden frame, so your canvas or collage poster will be delivered to you ready-framed.
See among others the chapter entitled "Frames for Canvases and Collage Posters".

The Canvas/Collage Poster Editor Toolbar

The toolbar and pop-up menu contain the main tools and commands that can be applied to a selected detail, or used to add a new detail.

Please see the tool tips for extra information

(See the Toolbar chapter).

The Canvas/Collage Poster Editor

In the canvas/poster editor workspace, you can customise your product by creating your own page layout using layout frames and texts, and adding in photos from the selection area.

Alternatively, you can use a page layout template or one of the design templates.

The default format for canvases and posters is landscape.
If you want a portrait format, first rotate the workspace in the Editor (icon at the bottom in the View options) and then rotate the photo in the opposite direction within the layout frame (icon at the top in the "Photo" toolbox).
